In the exhibition “War and Propaganda 14/18” the visitors experienced how propaganda posters work and are set up, what laws they are subject to, what levels they contain, both in terms of design and content. How do color, font, image, symbol work in the composition? What are the effects of this product? In the hands-on workshop the participants applied their new knowledge and created their own political posters. The first materials were posters from the First World War, which they worked on using collage technology. By means of recess and overlapping, new image and text contents were created which altered or reversed the original statement of the posters.
