De/Coding Jewelry

Children and young people don’t only find hidden messages and secret codes in detective stories. Here in the museum, for example, the enigmatic hieroglyphs of ancient Egypt beckon. Today, we encode information mainly digitally. In our workshop as part of Codeweek Hamburg, we will crack this code of bits and bytes and use it to create real pieces of jewelry with a personal secret message – each with its very own “IT” pieces!

Workshops for children aged 9-12 and young people aged 13-16 with jewelry designer Carmen Boch and design mediator Friederike Fankhänel.
