The design laboratory in the MK&G is the role model for the mobile hands-on boxes of the Faculty of Design of the University of Bozen under Professor Kuno Prey. At both sites, pupils and students can take, test and experiment with different product groups. The purpose of the exercise is to make a tangible picture of the everyday suitability and the truth of material of different products. In 2013 the design test boxes were presented at the SaloneSatellite at the Milan Furniture Fair.
