Houda Backhaus

MK&G for newcomers

Get to know the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg – now possible with the “MK&G für Newcomer” program. The dialogically designed tour includes six thematic areas, which combine history, everyday life and different cultures. The focus lies on the exchange of knowledge and goods between the Orient and the Occident – as almost nothing has developed in this world isolated from other cultures.

Houda Backhaus was born 1978 in Beirut, Lebanon, and has been living in Hamburg for 19 years. She is an Islamic scholar, a language teacher and an intercultural mediator.

The group talks are offered in Arabic, German and English and last 90 minutes. Offer and admission are free. For further information and registration please contact: vermittlung (at) mkg-hamburg.de.
