Within the framework of the exhibition “Evil Things. An Encyclopaedia of Bad Taste”, our visitors exchanged their own kitsch objects – labelled with an official pendant and sticker. The beginning made the assorted “evil things” of the MKG-employees and many oblique objects lasted almost to the end. In the exhibition period, however, almost 1000 objects changed hands. In the debate about “good” taste you could also participate without a bargain object: on Facebook, we presented the “evil thing of the week” for discussion and on a discussion wall around the swap shop, visitors could define what their definition of “taste is …”. In the course of the exhibition the visitors’ views grew into a huge collection.
